Ellen Van Dusen's namesake label was born shortly after she graduated from Tufts University in a major that allowed her to study how the brain responds to imagery. After graduation she wasn't really sure she wanted to become a designer, but after taking internships at Norma Kamali and Mary Meyer, Van Dusen launched her own collection. Her graphic prints figure heavily into every collection, and each piece of clothing has a relaxed, easy-to-wear sensibility. DusenDusen is produced in Brooklyn, NYC.
